dc.description.abstract This research was conducted to examine the effect of workplace spirituality on turnover intention with the mediating role of organizational citizenship behavior in the case of Arba Minch University Academic Staff. Data was gathered from a sample of 338 academic staff of AMU using proportionate stratified random sampling technique. Explanatory and descriptive research design were used to analyze the data. Primary data was collected using five Point Likert-Scale closed-ended questionnaire that are adapted from previous studies. SPSS version 23 and Amos version 23 were used to analyze the data quantitatively. 302 usable responses were collected. The result reveals that there is a significant correlation among meaningful work, sense of community, value alignment, organizational citizenship behavior and turnover intention. In addition, the result of this study shows that meaningful work, sense of community and value alignment have significant positive impact on organizational citizenship behavior and significant negative impact on turnover intention. The mediation analysis result of the study shows that organizational citizenship behavior does not mediate between meaningful work, sense of community and value alignment and turnover intention. Finallythe researcher recommended the university HR management to emphasize on cultivating workplace spirituality to reduce turnover intention of academics. en_US
