dc.description.abstract Since its easy isolation by the exfoliation of graphite in 2004 by Novoselov, Geim and co- workers, graphene has been attracting enormous attention to the scientific community. Because of its unique properties, graphene has made way for technological applications in many areas such as lithium battery, touch screen, medical treatment, and energy harvesting. Problems associated with explosion and cracking and efficient use of a device can be solved with the help of graphene novel properties. The electrical, thermal and optical properties of graphene were well studied and the mechanical property was under investigation. Here, the reviewer has reviewed the methods of syntheses and characterization of the mechanical and the frictional properties of graphene and based on Experimental and modeling data the frictional and the mechanical properties of graphene reviewed. en_US
