dc.description.abstract Sille irrigation scheme located in southern regional state of Ethiopia, at 22km south west of from Arba Minch Town. This study was conducted to analyze the current performance status of the farm in water delivery system, production and marketing. For determination of the performance status of the farm performance indicators of I WM I were u sed. The i rrigation water d eniand of the farm were calculated by using ten years mean monthly meteorolo ic . pwa window version software and irrigation water supplied to the farm in the growing season were measured at the field. The delivery performance of the irrigation system were evaluated by measuring the existing capacity of the main, secondary and tertiary canals from the field and the results were compared with the design dimensions of the respective canal. From analysis it was observed that the water delivery capacity ratio of different canals range from 51 % to 405%. The main factors contributed to the deviation of canal capacity from that of design capacity were erosion of both sides and beds of the canal, damage by both human and animal activities and deposition of sediments. The conveyance efficiency of the different canals measured from . . the field show that the overall conveyance efficiency was 50.69%. The economic status of the farm was evaluated by comparing the annual income of en_US
