dc.description.abstract Finite difference calculus has become very important due to its wide variety of application in routine life such as, a great use for Mathematicians as well as Computer Scientists for soluti on of the scientific, business and engineering problems.In this thesis we determined the missing points by finite difference method and cubic spline method for comparing and selecting the better method of finding the value of missed point. At the same time this work identify the application and formulation of cubic spline method for smooth piecewise function and for finite difference method. the thesis also justifies better approximation from finite difference method and cubic spline method. en_US
