dc.description.abstract California Bearing Ratio (CBR) value is prime parameters that used as an indicator of sub grade soil strength and design parameter for flexible asphalt pavements. The process of determining this parameter in the laboratory is somewhat cumbersome, time consuming and expensive. To generate the values of CBR at comparatively lesser time and expense, attempt has been made to correlate CBR value with PI, OMC, LL, MDD and P200 (Percent passing the number 200 sieve size) of soil samples collected along the road in Chencha Town. A comparison is done between the experimental results and calculated values. Statistical analysis is carried out using SPSS software version 16.0. A regression method applied here is a multiple linear regression and simple linear regression. A strong correlation was found between experimental determined CBR Values and OMC, PI, MDD with coefficient of determination of 0.981 twenty-five samples. However, a week relation is found between CBR and PL with coefficient of determination of 0.204. en_US
