| dc.description.abstract | This study investigates the effectiveness of accident inspection systems in reducing the incidence of accidents on building construction sites in Arba Minch, Ethiopia. Using a quantitative correlational design, data were collected via structured questionnaires from 78 professionals across contractor firms. Key variables included current health and safety management practices and the types of major existing construction accidents. Statistical analysis using SPSS revealed a significant positive correlation (r 0.357 to 0.677, p<.05) between effective safety practices and reduced accident rates. The study recommends strengthening site-specific safety planning worker induction programs, and regulatory enforcement to improve safety outcomes. These findings provide valuable insights for construction stakeholders and regulators aiming to enhance occupational health and safety performance in Ethiopia's building secto | en_US |
