dc.description.abstract Background: Worldwide, immunization coverage is still low and two million deaths are occurring annually from vaccine preventable illnesses. However, thorough assessments of level of immunization coverage and associated factors are limited as a result public health measures to improve uptake of vaccination services are currently lacking. Objective: to assess full vaccination status and associated factors among under two years’ children in Basketo special Woreda, Southern Ethiopia, 2023 Methods: Community-based cross-sectional study was conducted by using multistage sampling technique, from February 30 to June 30/2023 in Basketo special Woreda. A sample of 591 children under two years from randomly selected 9 kebeles. Data was entered into Epi data version 3.1 and exported to SPSS version 25. Variables with p value <0.25 on bi-variable analyses were selected as candidate variable for multivariable logistic regression model. An adjusted odds ratio along with 95% CI was estimated to identify factors associated with full vaccination status by using multivariable logistic regression analysis. Level of statistical significance was declared at p value < 0.05. Result: The overall of full vaccination status was 48.5% (95% CI: 44.5%-53%). Mothers/caregivers age; 25-29 (AOR: 1.6, 95% CI: 1.03-2.6), 30-34 (AOR: 2.6, 95% CI: 1.6-4.4) and 35 & above (AOR: 2.7, 95% CI: 1.5-4.8), Maternal education; can read & write (AOR: 1.6, 95% CI: 1.03-2.4), Primary (AOR: 3.7, 95% CI: 1.9-7.03) and secondary education, (AOR: 2.3, 95% CI: 1.14-4.7), time taken to reach the nearest health facility by foot less than 15 minute (AOR: 5.9, 95% CI: 2.1-16.6), ANC follow up (AOR: 1.9, 95% CI: 1.13-3.14) and health facility delivery (AOR: 2.8, 95% CI: 1.8-4.2) were factors associated with full vaccination. en_US

dc.subject Conclusion The study revealed that a significant number of children did not receive the full vaccination. Mothers/caregivers older age, maternal education, time taken to reach the nearest health facility by foot less than 15 minute, ANC follow and health facility delivery were identified factors. The Woreda health office should work to raise the awareness by designing proper health education targeting the mothers/caregivers knowledge to expand the services. en_US
