Abstract:
Green roof is one of the Nature-Based Solutions which are profoundly important in urban
areas that are bountiful in impenetrable surfaces like building rooftops. Ethiopia has a long
history of using green rooftops which is practiced on the vernacular architecture widely
viewed as a characteristic in architecture some other parts too, but it is exceptionally lately
introduced in Addis Ababa.
As an urbanized city Addis Ababa, explicitly Bole Road is at present looking with natural
debasement because of land surface temperature, loss of green land, absence of aesthetic
pleasure, flooding on the roads, and more energy utilization. To address this the city
administration is chipping away at the execution of green rooftops and urban green
frameworks.
Thus, this paper focus on observing an economical plan mix method of working with green
rooftops that individuals can use to forestall the issues that our city is confronting.
Assessment on the existing building roofing with green roof features is the main target of
this research. It altogether helps the execution of green rooftop by giving materials which
are effectively open. To carry out the procedures, the paper portrays a writing survey
which examines about the green rooftop and green foundations that are situated all over
the planet.
The sustainable method of combination depends on utilization of material, sorts of green
