dc.description.abstract The main objective of this study is to assess PE teacher’s lesson delivery approach in secondary schools of Enemay woreda in Amhara region and to establish the strategies and propose possible solutions that can be adopted to improve the situation. The design of the study was descriptive survey research design. Physical education teachers, school principals and students were participants of the study. The schools were selected purposively while participants were selected by simple random sampling method. To gather data, the researcher used questionnaire, focus group discussion and observation. In relation to the basic findings of this research it was found that the physical education predetermined curricular objectives designed for each grade level were not achieved by the learners because of lack of PE resources, in adequate school environment & social awkward of students. In all schools, there were less supervisory activities & academic support for PE & different sport programs, to provide guidance & improve the quality of teaching & proper lesson delivery approach. From the above findings, the researcher concluded that PE lesson was not delivered in a way that students can achieve basic skills, concepts and experiences that can enhance their cognitive, motor and social development. It was recommended that the government along with other stakeholders should use their maximum effort to fulfill sport facilities and equipment and to make PE teachers upgrade and update their academic knowledge and professional ethics. en_US
