dc.description.abstract ABSTRACT Health Physical education was one the discipline that was given to students from lower grade, (from elementary to colleges and other universities) and included in the curriculum in the ministry of education. Health physical education had psychological, mental and social values as already confirmed also in this thesis study. But, the attention given to this world wide subject as one discipline were at low stage by students, students families and even ministry of education. Therefore, this study tried to analyze the attitude of students towards Health and physical education. The data was collected through administration of questionnaires and the information was analyzed both qualitative and quantitative analytical procedures were employed. Besides, frequency counts, percentage, and descriptive statements were used to analyze the items of the questionnaire. The aim of the study is to analyze the attitude of students towards Health and physical education. In order to achieve the desired goal, the researcher used different sources of data and techniques of gathering data which includes; depth interview and questionnaire. The result of the study confirms that there were factors which includes non-academic nature of the subject, attention given by stakeholders, perception of families, culture, religion and economy had played their own role to develop the sense positive attitude or negative attitude towards physical education towards. The healthy physical education teachers has to make different sport activities to students to make them active participant and change the negative attitude towards physical education. en_US
