Abstract:
The purpose of this study was tend to investigate the ef fect of aerobic exercise on
selectedheal th related physical fi tness of Arba Minch University Fitness Center
participants.
The study was conducted from February 2019 to April 2019(twelve weeks) for this study a total
population of 80 and sample size of study formula n/N ,21 male Arba Minch University
Fi tness Center participants were selected randomly those who fulfill the eligibility criteria
such asphysical activity readiness questionnaire to aerobic exercise participant.The researcher
was selected health related fitness test battery such as; 3 minute step test, curl-up test, Sit and
reach test, body mass index test. Pretest was conducted before giving the training and post test
was conducted after 12 week of training. The obtained quantitative data was analyzed by paired
sample ‘t’ test with the help of (SPSS) version 20 software to determine the difference between
pre training and post training mean value of different variables. The level of significance was
seat at p<0.05. And finally find out a significant value of Cardiovascular Endurance test
significant effect of p=0.015<0.05, Muscular Endurance test significant effect of p=0.001<0.05,
Flexibility test significant effect of p=0.001<0.05 and Body Mass Index test significant effect of
p=0.010<0.05.The result of the study showed that aerobic exercise training improved
cardiovascular endurance, Muscular endurance, and Flexibility and Body
composition. Aerobic exercise training has a significant effect on enhancing the performance of
the selectedhealth related physical f itness of Arba Minch University Fitness Center
participants. Based on the findings recommends aerobic exercise training enhances selected
health related physical f itness of Arba Minch Universi ty Fitness Center participants.
