dc.description.abstract Female out migration is one of the socio- economic challenges in many part of the world, especially in developing nations like Ethiopia. Female out migration will have a significant impact socio economic effect on food production, effect on human health and over all activities. Traditional rural livelihoods in Ethiopia including zone, woreda and kebeles female out migrations are highly affecting of socio economy because of their close links to the development. The study is concerned with assessing the socio-economic impacts of female out migration, the case of Derawet Semerdin,wolia and Adazer Sehbelekebele,MisrakAzernetBerbere district, Silte Zone. The main significance of the study will be giving or creating awareness to the society and other stock holders about the effect of female migration to Middle East.This research paper followed the description descriptive type of research data is gathered through distributing questionnaires, FGD discussion, interviews and field survey data collection from 186 selected householders from three kebeles. The data described through grounded theory of qualitative data analysis result obtained from questionnaires and interviewing of households indicated society were not well aware of the occurrence of socio-economic impacts of female out migrations hence not devised effective protecting strategies in response to mitigate female out migration is indispensible. Key informant interview and focus grouped discussions were prepared to generate information about the cause and consequences of female migration from MiserakAzernetBerbereWoreda. Finally thecollected data is analyzed and interoperated by tables and percentage.From the study it is illustrated that in the body of the essay, the migration process exposes them to both risks and opportunity.
