Abstract:
Apple is a fruit tree that grown native in temperate climate. However apples can also be grown
in other climates, like subtropical and tropical areas at high altitudes. It has the capability to
absorb metal ions from soil that play an essential role in biological and physiological activities in
plant and in animal in trace quantity. Samples of two types of apple and soil were collected for
nutrient contents, macro and micro elemental analysis from Chencha wereda Doko-Zolo kebele
and Doko-shaye kebele, where in apple and soil to be detected by AAS for mineral contain and
the relation between soil and Crispin apple and to improve for human feed. Mean value of
moisture, ash, crude protein, oil, fiber, and carbohydrate contents of Zolo apple were 84.06, 1.85,
0.22, 0.16, 0.95 and 12.75%, respectively. And Mean value of moisture, ash, crude protein, oil,
fiber, and carbohydrate contents for Shaye apple were 84.02, 1.83, 0.196, 0.196, 0.816, and
13.0%, respectively.
Generally, in Zolo apple and soil the order was found as K > Mg >Mn> Fe >Ca> Cu > Zn. In
Shaye apple and soil the order in the mineral content was found to be as follows: Fe > K>Ca>
Mg > Cu> Zn>Mn. Generally, the mineral contents of the shaye apple and soil were found to be
higher than those of Zolo apple and soil.
